School-break childcare planner

Plan a whole break by starting with the weekdays that normally need coverage. Add closures, leave days and activities only after the need is visible.

Try an example

Weekdays requiring care
Different daily hours (optional)
Days off / no care needed (optional)
Care option 1
Care option 2
Example: ten weekdays need 08:00–18:00 coverage. Two leave days and six full camp days are confirmed; one half-day club leaves 13:00–18:00 open.

Local demonstration: nothing is saved until you create an account.

How to use it

  1. Define the break

Use an official school calendar where verified, or enter a custom period.

  2. Set weekday needs

Copy a normal coverage window, then edit days with different work or travel constraints.

  3. Layer confirmed care

Add only actual times and keep waitlists visibly provisional.

Worked example

Example: ten weekdays need 08:00–18:00 coverage. Two leave days and six full camp days are confirmed; one half-day club leaves 13:00–18:00 open.

Compare hours, not labels

“Full day” can mean different things. Record the actual start and end so early drop-off and late pickup do not disappear.

Keep registration status visible

An idea, application and confirmed place should not look identical. A provisional solution can reduce uncertainty without closing the gap.

Account registration is temporarily unavailable

You can keep using this tool for free in your browser. Accounts will activate after the required validations.

FAQ

Common questions

Are school-break dates provided for every country?

No. CampGrid only presents calendars from sources it can verify. A custom period is always available.

Can each weekday have different hours?

Yes. Start from a repeated pattern and adjust individual days.

Does a waitlist cover the day?

No. It remains provisional until the place is confirmed.
