How to use it
Keep one row per child
Use chosen names and colors, but preserve text and patterns so color is not the only signal.
Align the dates
Compare needs across the same columns even when school zones or residence differ.
Review adult conflicts
Check shared drivers and pickups across children, not only inside one calendar.
Worked example
Emma is at Home A with camp until 17:00 while Lucas is at Home B with practice ending at 16:30. One adult cannot collect both at 17:00 in different places.
Neutral labels support real families
Use Home A/Home B or family-chosen names. CampGrid does not assume a primary home, a mother/father pair or equal patterns for every child.
Conflicts appear across rows
Review shared adults, vehicles and pickup times across every child. A valid solution on each individual row can still be impossible when the same person is assigned twice.
